Thank you for a great time! It was great to see everyone and get a chance to play both new things and old favorites. Truly a first class event made so by a first class group of people.”

“Just a quick note to tell everyone thanks for making Marcy and I feel so welcome at Gulf Games! We had an absolutely fabulous time! I knew that everyone would be friendly, but I was blown away by just how friendly everyone was. You all really went out of your way to make us feel like part of the group, and we appreciate it.
“We had a great time with all the games, but we had an even better time being in such a supportive and positive environment with such a great group of people. It was really special! Thanks everyone!”

“I remember when I was a kid I had a saying that was usually used negatively as a defense. At Gulf Games it’s a compliment: It takes one to know one!
“And I think this is the biggest success of our times together every six months or so. And even more extraordinary is that three of the greatest guys I know were responsible for changing the odds of gathering sixty people together in such a homogeneous mixture that it would continuously get better each time by inviting people such as yourself and Marcia. And just one problem you need to correct to make it better next time. Don’t forget your noodles please!
“God bless.”

“I also will agree with everyone in saying that the weekend was wonderful. I didn’t get to play games with as many different people as I would’ve liked, but it was a very enjoyable Time. I have to agree with Ben about Die Macher; it was an amazingly good game (I say this in retrospect only because it sucked to have everything go oh-so-horribly wrong in the last turn… kudos to Marcia!). I hope everyone enjoyed the trivia this year, despite its Rather rocky start. Ken and I discussed it quite a bit on the way home and we’ve got some great ideas for next year. I played a whole bunch of two-player games this time, which is really odd for me. I’m sure it’s all Ben’s fault for that darn Knizia tourney, which I shoulda won… ;P Anyway, I’ll echo everyone else in saying it was great to see everyone again, as well as meet all the newcomers. I’m very much looking forward to the next one…”

“Wow, another Gulf Games has come and gone. It seems like just yesterday that I was able to take part in the greatest gaming and group of gamers in my life. I hope everyone had a good time, but I’m sure that everyone did.”

“As many others have stated before me, what makes this event so special is indeed the people. I could not tell you where to find a nicer bunch of folks. We laughed — we played — we sang — we caroused. Enthusiasm, hilarity, camraderie — the best possible competitive yet sublimely cooperative spirit.”

“Just a quick note to say thanks for inviting Marcy and I to Gulf Games. We had a really great time and I certainly enjoyed meeting you and your family. I have been to a lot of gaming and science fiction conventions and none were nearly as good as Gulf Games, thanks to the terrific group of people you have put together! Thanks again, we loved it!”
Kevin Gonzalez
“Add me to the chorus of folks who had a great time at Gulf Games. It was really great meeting so many of you and I hope to make it to the next one!”
