Gulf Games 12: Ward Batty

Williamsburg, Virginia
August 7 – 10, 2003

Had a great time, as always. Special thanks to those who came from overseas, I think it’s a tremendous compliment to the rest of us that you’d come so far to game.

Zendo was a big highlight. Don’t know if it will be the same without Zen Master Teddy, but we’ll give it a try Sunday at the store (I’ll need to clear my Zen Master Wardo accent with our Chinese employee, however 😉 Very fun game, especially with such good company.

The Intrigue game was a lot of fun. Thanks to Michael for teaching and playing. I gotta get myself a copy of this game! It’s being reprinted in German, is there an English version due?

Large thanks to Greg for teaching Der Fliegende Hollnder and Vernissage. I can see Der Fliegende Hollnder getting regular play in our group and want to try Vernissage again.

Enjoyed playing Time’s Up with everyone. Thanks for the laughs and the good competition. The final game was hard-fought!

I’m sure I’m forgetting many other highlights. It’s fun seeing all the kids grow up and form their own friendships. I’m sure we’ll see some of them bringing their kids one day, and extend GG to 3 generations (but not too soon, college first, please.)

See you in February. I promise to swim in the Gulf again this time, but don’t let that stop you from coming.
