Gulf Games 2: Peter McCarthy

Panama City Beach, Florida
October 15 – 18, 1998

Just got back from a long (Thursday-Sunday) weekend in Panama City, Florida. Greg Schloesser will have a long post to make, for sure. So, here is my greatly abbreviated quick-look.

Got to the hotel in the middle of Thursday Afternoon and promptly encountered Ty Douds out front. While speaking to Ty, Greg and Lenny Leo (one of the Westbank Gamers crowd) screeched up, followed closely by Greg’s wife Gail in another car.

Gaming started that evening and really got rolling when Frank Branham rolled in with a truly twisted set of games.

BAMBOLEO–Removing blocks from a plate balanced on top of a ball. Great fun.

Played BARBAROSSA on Friday evening. Adults playing with Play-Doh while the kids are watching (mine and Ty’s).

Saturday saw an outstanding session of KOHLE, KIES, & KNETE. “I WANT THIS GAME!!!!”

Went home very tired on Sunday noontime, after having stayed up to 2:30 am for three straight nights.

Thanks to Greg for arranging this!
